Leadership decisions – across sectors and issues - are often made largely by intuition, or “gut instinct”. They are, in the end, intelligently derived “best guesses”. Leaders will then use tools such as traditional market research and the opinions of those around them to validate their best guess, even though these methods are demonstrably flawed.
The good news: We have a way to eliminate the guesswork around important leadership decisions.
Lead with Certainty.

Scientific Intelligence
Fast.
Complex challenges, big opportunities, and periods of significant change – all necessitate that leaders gain in-depth understanding of the needs of the marketplace. But increasingly, time is of the essence. A solution put in place too late is no solution at all.
Scientific Intelligence uses proprietary methodologies to uncover fresh insights and deliver solutions for sustainable success.
Approach
Intelligence and science.
We combine our knowledge of cultural archétypes and organizational drivers, with the sharpest proprietary tools and methodologies. Scientific Intelligence has developed an integrated process that takes the place of traditional analytics and “strategic planning”.
Society operates in ways that are, more often than not, invisible to its individual members. Our highly successful business methodology, the Structural Mapping Process™ (SMP), maps how society operates relative to the issue at hand. It then uncovers and sequences the pathways and provides a strategic map with unprecedented clarity.

The Master Brief
Building on your map and the insights from the SMP, we work in a collaborative session with your senior leadership to develop the fundamental components of your strategic needs, which are summarized in a succinct, user-friendly cross-functional document we call the Master Brief.
The Master Brief is customized for your particular needs, and can include such elements as :
Corporate Strategy
Strategic Imperatives (across functional areas and dimensions of the organization)
Strategic Positioning
Brand Promise
Mission/Vision
The Master Brief provides a solid foundation for further tactical ideation or strategic planning efforts. With the SMP map and Master Brief in hand, clients are able stay firmly on strategy as they go to market.

Syd Kessler
Principal
Syd is a renowned entrepreneur and a widely acknowledged legend in Canadian marketing. In 1988, Syd started a joint venture with John Labatt Ltd. - Supercorp. Under his leadership, Supercorp grew from $10M annual revenue to over $150M in just four years, becoming the commercial production industry’s unrivaled leader. Supercorp controlled 68% of all advertising production in Canada and was the largest TV commercial production company in the U.S.
In 1994, The Kessler Group was created to address a growing need in the advertising community to move away from the broadcast advertising model, to a new advertising model called narrowcasting. The Kessler Group secured contracts with such notable American firms as Dow Jones, Wal-Mart and US West. On the heels of this success, Syd became Co-Director of the KPMG digital strategy practice in 1997, and then co-founded Scientific Intelligence in 2005.
Having recently been inducted into the Marketing Hall of Legends, Syd now spends his time identifying, investing and then mentoring new businesses and organizations.
